Warkworth can easily be reached by coach as it is on the route of four major bus services: Intercity Coach Lines, Northliner Express, Main Coach Lines and Nakedbus (Pavlovich Xpress). Providing daily passenger services between Auckland, Dargaville, Whangarei and Warkworth. (for more information please refer to our Getting to Warkworth page).

Please note that there are no bus services from Warkworth out to Matakana, Omaha Beach, Sandspit, Snells Beach and Leigh/Pakiri. The only way to reach these townships from Warkworth is by own transport, local taxi or if you are on a tour.
We have two local taxi companies: Warkworth Taxi and Matakabs. These companies also offer shuttle services to and from Auckland airport.
There are a number of operators in Warkworth who offer organized tours:Great Taste Tours, and Warkworth Wine Tours. Some of these tours leave from Auckland whilst others will pick you up in Warkworth. There is also Skytours who offer scenic helicopter flights.
It is also possible to hire a car locally from Rentadiesel, Rodney Budget Rentals or Warkworth Car and Truck Rentals.
There are regular water taxi and ferry crossings between Sandspit and Kawau Island with Reubens Water Taxis. If you are travelling on one of their services, Reubens can arrange to pick you up in Warkworth.
Sheepworld, the Farm and Nature Park in Warkworth, also offer day trips from Auckland.
